It’s autumn, and that means it’s time for apple picking (or at least apple eating!). Maybe you’re planning a weekend of leaf-peeping and orchard visits with friends, or just a wander through your local farmers’ market.

It’s a perfect time to grab your favorite local cider, a bushel of crisp beauties, and a few other seasonal provisions.

Now what to do with your hungry and thirsty crew… and all those apples? We have some inspiration for you!

In this delightfully engaging class, we’ll celebrate and sample the rich history and culture of apples in America. Learn new recipes, entertaining ideas, and tidbits of history and lore.

Cook along with Annette to prepare a simple and quick post-picking feast with apples at the fore.

Then shake up some apple-focused beverages, both on the spirited and softer side, with Lisa.

About your instructors:

Annette Tomei?is a food and drinks educator and culinary tourism specialist. She is the developer and host of the beloved Kitchen Arts & Letters Cookbook Club and recently began working with KAL to create an all-new events program that will feature online and in-person classes, events, and community-building opportunities.

Lisa Belczyk?is an educator who explores the intersections of cocktails, spirits, art, history, and culture. She brings her background as a classically trained musician and craft bartender to herwork, and currently serves as the president of the Pittsburgh chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild.
